people, places I have seen that drift into my memory
time goes by so fast and soon we’re looking how we used to be
weekend boredom, pointless fights and wasting gas on Friday nights
those were the best times of my life.
and these days won’t last forever
and sometimes it’s for the better
we’ll be hanging out together
and keep living by our luck.
and we know we’re going nowhere
in these lazy days we don’t care
if we move ahead or stay there
being young and dumb and never growing up.
weekends drown in alcohol, bored dumb as the days fly by
smoking endless cigarettes, pass the time by getting high
walk the train tracks ‘round the bend; I wish that this would never end
‘cause then you can’t go home again
and these days won’t last forever
and sometimes it’s for the better
we’ll be hanging out together
and keep living by our luck.
and we know we’re going nowhere
in these lazy days we don’t care
if we move ahead or stay there
being young and dumb and never growing up.
