Hang on Tight (and Let It Go)

Hang on Tight (and Let It Go)

So long darlin’ don’t cry for me, live and learn then just let it be.

Leave your worries and fears behind, take your chances don’t pay no mind.

I’ve cast off regrets ‘cause my ship’s coming in.

We’ve gone off the rails where the deep end begins.

It may take some time, but you’ll find that you’ll do just fine on your own,

but for now, you’d better hang on tight and let it go.

Downward spirals and uphill climbs, you go your way and I’ll go mine.

Sew a stitch through that patchwork heart, lose yourself, find out who you are.

I’ve blown out the candles on wishing you well.

So, don’t hold your breath no use waiting around

‘cause life needs its seasons of raining’ for every garden to grown.

Change-a’-weather…better hang on tight and let it go.

So, turn off your headlights start driving again.

You’re left in the dust or you’re gone with the wind.

Someday I’ll look back on you fondly as just a bump in the road.

If I listen to my own advice, maybe everything will turn out right,

just remember better hang on tight and let it go.
