2 Step flyin’

sometimes I look back when I think about the time I took the sip of my first beer,

Old English 40 down at the drinkin’ log one Friday after school when I came there.

I call it “boredom” some say “a gateway drug” I followed down a path with all my friends.

to drinking 6-packs and smoking cigarettes and weed, coming home drunk every weekend.

sometimes I’ll see the web that’s been planned out for me

might as well kiss my mind goodbye, but then I’ll twist that shiny cap off my next beer

and I know I’m having fun so I won’t ask, “Why?”

but I’ll say whoa one last cigarette, whoa, one final beer, and then I’ll say I’ll only drink until this keg is done

but I know I won’t, I’m having too much fun.

I’ve passed denial, hit acceptance found the path that sets the plot for what’s ahead.

I’m on a mission fucking up my brain, until I’ve reached the ranks of living dead.

sometimes I’ll see the web that’s been planned out for me

might as well kiss my mind goodbye, but then I’ll twist that shiny cap off my next beer

and I know I’m having fun so I won’t ask, “Why?”

but I’ll say whoa one last cigarette, whoa, one final beer, and then I’ll say I’ll only drink until this keg is done

but I know I won’t, I’m having too much fun.

hanging on before I drop, I don't think I can ever stop,

I know it's my own fault but is it fair?

having fun and acting dumb,  i guess that's part of being young

and I only wake up once but I don't care.

but I’ll say whoa one last cigarette, whoa, one final beer, and then I’ll say I’ll only drink until this keg is done

but I know I won’t, I’m having too much fun.
