Today

when the phone rings I won’t be there in my kinda normal, everyday home

parents writing their wills, Johnny’s hiding his pills, Jenny’s got a date with being alone.

and I don’t really feel that comfortable (3 times) today.

‘cause this is not my life I don’t wanna live it like a million “me’s” have done before.

this is not my life, how long will I give it?

guess I’ll never know if I'm not sure.

and drive the black dog from my head, let peace of mind endure

‘cause this is not my life, so lend me yours and lets even up the score.

if it’s those things that you see here in your kinda normal, everyday home.

when the parents don’t care when their kids aren’t there, then you’re doing better out on your own.

and I don’t really feel that comfortable (3 times) today

‘cause this is not my life I don’t wanna live it like a million “me’s” have done before.

this is not my life, how long will I give it?

guess I’ll never know if I'm not sure.

and drive the black dog from my head, let peace of mind endure

‘cause this is not my life, so lend me yours and lets even up the score.

and I don’t really feel that comfortable (3 times) does anybody feel that comfortable?

‘cause this is not my life I don’t wanna live it like a million “me’s” have done before.

this is not my life, how long will I give it?

guess I’ll never know if I'm not sure.

and drive the black dog from my head let peace of mind endure

‘cause this is not my life, so lend me yours and lets even up the score.
